The German National Award Authority supports the local Award work not only with tools like the Participants Logbook, further training programmes like the Award Management Course or direct consultation, for example on the hotline, but furthermore encourages its documentation by means of the Award Unites' Prize. Not the “extraordinary” is rewarded here, but the exemplary daily work of the Award Team: photography of activities (e.g. for the Award Presentation), depiction of individual participants with their experience (e.g. for the own website) and maintenance of a “red folder” with the main important documents of the local Award work (e.g. to help new team members to get acquainted).

Once again, the first place at the Award Authorities' Prize 2010 will be awarded with 250 Euros, the second with 150 Euros and the third with 100 Euros. This time around, the topics are:

  1. Photographs: Good pictures depicting individual participants' activities in one of the sections Volunteering, Skills or Physical are wanted.

  2. Testimonials: “Testimonials” of participants where they authentically describe what the programme has brought them personally are demanded.

  3. Portfolio: The „Main Folder“ of the Operating Authority or the Award Unit, designed as a Record of Achievement Folder and sensibly structured, is to be submitted.

The acknowledgment is by far not only comprised of the prize money, though. All submitted examples of best practise are practically worked with: Photos and testimonials are published in NETZWERK and other publications by the National Authority, portfolios are used during the Award Basic and Officers Courses, among other things. Deadline is 1 October 2010.
