Summer School 2010: Workshops

Part of the 5th International Award Summer School will be two half-days with workshops participants can choose from – the first one run on Thursday morning, the second one run on Saturday morning. Of course, the International Evening with its different presentations is – a more informal – workshop, too.

All workshops will last about three hours and there will be no more than three workshops run at the same time. In two “workshop marketplaces” everybody will get more details and can choose his favourite. The three most voted offerings will be held and people who chose another one are invited to join one of those three.

Workshops chosen in the past include

1. Award Online Management System (“Electronic Record Book”)

2. Gold Expedition Framework

3. Osterburken: Producing a People and Places Photo Gallery

4. Producing Award Testimonials (learning by doing)

5. Roman History Tour (starting with the museum)

6. Swimming in the nearby Jagst river

7. Visits into the vicinity of Osterburken: (limestone cave in Eberstadt, medieval church in Hemsbach, monastery in Schöntal, Odenwald Wild Country Area, synagogue in Sennfeld, …)

If IASS 2010 participants have got any specific experiences with the Award or any specific skills useful in the work with it which they would like to share – they could just do it (and tell us)!
